An American Indian conical tent usually consisting of skins and used especially by the plains peoples.  The modern day style is now made with various types of canvas in addition to these materials.

Crow Tepee
The Crow style tepee is probably  the most pleasing design visually.  The size of the smoke flaps are beautifully proportioned to the nearly conical shape of the tepee itself.  Our  manufacturer learned how to make these authentic tepees from the families of the Crow Indians.

The tradidtional "A" shape door opening is standard on the Crow tepee.  An oval shaped door  opening is available at a slight additional charge for those who request it.
 
Sioux Tepee
The Sioux style tepee is very popular because of the extensive historical information available about the tribe.  Many books have been written about the Sioux: Sitting Bull is probably the best know of all American Indian Chiefs.

Our Sioux tepee leans to the back more than the Crow style and comes standard with an oval shaped door opening.  The smoke flaps are longer than those of the Crow tepee thus resulting in a shorter lace pin and door section, and somewhat larger smoke hole.

Backyard Tepee
The backyard tepee is fun and functional - it can be used for backyard campouts or the children's playhouse.  This tepee is perfect for group outings for the scouts, church groups, youth groups, or day care centers.
Lightweight and easy to set up - it is a durable fabric, available in natural untreated or water repellent, mildew resistant and flame retardant fabric.  The tepee is assembled with double stitching and all areas of stress are reinforced.  The diameter is 8'6" and has an adjustable door  opening for easy entry.  The tepee comes complete with 10' break-down poles for ease of packing and storage.  Everything you need to set up the Backyard Tepee is included - even colored streamers that can be tacked to the poles for decoration!  You may order an extra door cover as an extra feature for a nominal fee.

Total weight of the Backyard Tepee is 28 pounds.
